If you're interested in private lessons, here is some information to get us started:

If you're a beginning student, we'll focus on building technique and music-reading fluency in a structured way. Using standard, widely-accepted repertoire, we will take a graduated approach to learning music, building new techniques as the lessons go on, while reinforcing established techniques and concepts. Supplemental material can also be introduced when appropriate, such as level-appropriate arrangements of songs in other genres not already found in our books.

For students who have had some lessons previously I'm also open to using other materials that you might already be familiar with, and to help you continue to grow your musical interests. I'm also always happy to discuss more in-depth music theory for more advanced students.

It's important to find a music instructor who understands that every student is unique and can give lessons that move at an appropriate pace.

My rate is $45 for a half-hour, weekly lesson.

Age: Generally I require students to be in at least first grade before beginning private lessons.

My physical location is in beautiful mid-Carmel Valley, about 5 minutes from hwy 1/the Carmel Crossroads.
