If you're interested in private lessons, here is some information to get us started:

For beginning students, we'll focus on building technique and music-reading fluency in a structured way. We will use standard, widely-accepted method books to learn new concepts and techniques as the lessons continue. Supplemental material can also be introduced when appropriate, such as level-appropriate arrangements of songs in various genres.

For students who have had some lessons previously I'm also open to using other materials that you might already be familiar with, and to help you continue to grow your musical interests. I'm also always happy to discuss more in-depth music theory for more advanced students.

It's important to find a music instructor who understands that every student is unique and can give lessons that move at an appropriate pace.

My rate is $45 for a half-hour, weekly lesson.

Age: Generally I require students to be in at least first grade before beginning private lessons.

My physical location is in beautiful mid-Carmel Valley, about 5 minutes from hwy 1/the Carmel Crossroads.
